RIVERSIDE MEDIA AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP TO

OUTSTANDING YATES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Houston)....Riverside Media, Inc., a Houston-based, video production company, recently awarded a $500.00 scholarship to Thieu Nguyen, a graduating senior in the School of Communications at Jack Yates High School in southeast Houston.   Nguyen-who is valedictorian of his 2004 graduating class-plans to attend the University of Houston in the fall.

            The scholarship was presented to Nguyen by Harold Mullins, Jr., Founder and CEO of Riverside Media, Inc., at the Yates School of Communications Annual Banquet on May 8 at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Houston.  Eligible students were asked to submit two letters of recommendation from teachers and a two minute videotape describing why he or she deserved the scholarship.    Mullins says that Thieu’s submission was “very creative and  professionally done” and reflects the commitment of the staff and faculty of Yates High School to prepare students for a successful career in communications.
